I See Versatility As a Flaw
In my opinion, I don’t understand how people can love digital pianos. People always refer to the versatility as if it’s something to be proud about. I see versatility as a flaw. You should too. True musicians should see it as a flaw. Let me explain.
Pianos in general are already seen as limited. There isn’t much subtlety behind the music with a piano. You hit a key that makes a sound. Other instruments like guitars have strings that have an infinite number of sounds that it could make. Pianos do not.
Digital pianos are even more limiting. They produce artificial sounds made by us. These digital pianos have significant limitations, and non-piano instruments within the digital pianos are even worse. They are very basic in general.
To be honest, this ruins music. True musicians should want an pure form of expression. They should get the original instrument and use that to create music. I have seen so many people call themselves musicians when they just use a measly digital piano. Its versatility is not a pro. It’s a con.
The Sigma 50 1.4 is a Good Buy
It is somewhat strange to see such a high price tag on a third party lens like the Sigma 50 1.4 but once you try it out it becomes very clear why it costs so much. I have put this lens through its paces by shooting in various conditions and with different aperture settings and came away very impressed by how sharp it is. Not just center sharpness either but corners as well which is great. Sigma has also managed to control distortion and vignetting very well with this lens so it is something that you will not have to worry about at all. Even chromatic aberration is kept to a bare minimum and easily fixed using a good image-editing program. Lastly, the overall build quality of the lens is also very good although it is a bit bigger and heavier than others in its class are. Overall, it is a very good buy.
